Curriculum

With increased global concern with climate change sustainability has become an important part of all academic disciplines.  Certain academic areas offer an opportunity to earn a minors or certificates within their areas focused on sustainability.

The College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS) offers two opportunities.

  • Economic Sciences offers a Sustainable Development minor which provides a base in four aspects of sustainable development. While it is housed in the Department of Economic Sciences classes are offered in many different academic areas focusing on policy, history, theory, environment, society, culture, and economics.
  • Sustainable agriculture is a rapidly expanding field that enables practitioners to produce abundant food, protect the environment, improve public health and support a gainful economy. If this interests you, look into obtaining a sustainable agriculture graduate certificate.
